An AI booking assistant for New Zealand

SortedAI is an AI booking assistant for Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty. Tell it the job, and Tia — an AI voice agent — rings around local tradies for you, tells each one up front she's an AI, and brings back the real prices and times she was given. Your bit's done in minutes; she does the calling.

What is an AI booking assistant?

An AI booking assistant is software that can make phone calls on your behalf and hold a real conversation. Instead of you working down a list of numbers, leaving voicemails and waiting on callbacks, the assistant does the ringing — explains the job, asks who's available and what they'll charge, and reports back what it actually found.

SortedAI's assistant is called Tia. She can't promise she'll find someone free, or a price, or a time before she calls — nobody honestly can. What she does is actually make the calls and tell you straight what she heard, even if it's "no luck this time." You pick who you like the sound of, and you pay the business directly for the work.

The real ways to book a local job

There's more than one way to get a tradie booked. Here's an honest look at the options — what each one actually gives you, and who ends up doing the ringing.

Prices shown for other options are described neutrally — features and availability change, so it's worth checking each provider directly. SortedAI covers Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty (Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, Bethlehem, Greerton, Te Puke and surrounds).

    Doing it yourself

It's free, and sometimes you get lucky on the first call. More often it's phone tag, voicemails and time on hold — spread across an afternoon you'd rather have back.

    Using a directory

Directories like Yellow or NoCowboys are genuinely useful for finding who's out there. But they give you a list — the ringing around is still entirely on you.

    Letting Tia call

Tia is an AI that actually rings around for you and comes back with real prices and times. She tells every business she's an AI. First ring-around's free, then about $1.

What Tia can — and can't — do

We'd rather be straight with you than oversell it. Here's the honest version.

    What she can do

    • Actually phone local tradies and have a real conversation — not just hand you a list.
    • Repeat your job details accurately on every single call.
    • Bring back real prices and times so you can compare, then book the one you like.
    • Tell you straight what she found — even when it's “no luck this time.”

    What she can't do

    • Promise someone's free — that depends who picks up on the day.
    • Pretend to be a person — she says she's an AI at the start of every call.
    • Replace 111 or a direct call in a genuine emergency (gas leak, serious flooding, fire or shock risk — ring those first).
    • Cover the whole country yet — Tauranga & the Bay of Plenty for now, expanding across NZ soon.

Where Tia works: Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty right now — Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, Bethlehem, Greerton, Te Puke and the surrounding areas. We're expanding across NZ soon.
